InnovAge

InnovAge is an in-home program that supports older adults to stay independent. A former employee shared her concerns about the program. InnovAge employed her from 2010 to 2018. She said that she was often asked to work over eight hours. She also said she was forced to work extra shifts because of the company's difficulty retaining staff. Due to this, she was often required to perform tasks normally done by nurses and medical assistants.

Clients complained about the company's services, saying they couldn't get adequate service. In September 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services shut down the program. This meant that it couldn't accept new Medicare clients. It also revealed to investors that it had made payments of over $13 million to Colorado's Medicaid Program and that the state attorney-general requested information about billing.
